Biography

Jimi Hendrix -

I'm the one that's got to die when it's time for me to die, so let me live my life the way I want to.

Moschburg's story is as abnormal as his creations. Born the youngest of three siblings in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he embarked on a worldwide journey due to his father's military career. This global odyssey, starting in New Mexico and spanning Panama, Guam, England, Japan, Germany, and culminating in San Antonio, Texas, exposed Moschburg to a melting pot of cultures and vistas, fueling his creative spirit.

In Germany, during his high school years, Moschburg faced a challenging period, wrestling with deep depression. Seeking solace and a change of perspective, his mother would take him to Paris on weekends. These trips, filled with strolls through the artist-laden streets of Paris, ignited Moschburg's passion for art. A particular encounter with a portrait artist in the heart of the city marked a pivotal moment for him, transforming his worldview and awakening his artistic calling.

Post high school, Mosch, already a seasoned world traveler, left his home at 17 to pursue art and higher education in Florida. This move marked the beginning of the longest period he's ever spent in one region. Nevertheless, it was in Florida where Moschburg truly found his artistic voice, inspired by his diverse global experiences.

Struggling initially to find his footing in the art world, Moschburg's journey took a turn when he lost his job as a Deli Manager due to corporate bankruptcy. Painting through these tough times with no promise of reward, he eventually encountered a life-changing opportunity: a collaboration on a public mural project. This project not only transformed his artistic medium, shifting his focus to large-scale murals, but also his style, infusing his work with deep emotional resonance and layers of untold stories.

Today, Moschburg's art is a reflection of his travels and experiences, an attempt to capture the emotional essence of his diverse journey. From chaotic yet profound murals to intricate canvases, each piece narrates a unique tale. Tucked away in his Florida studio, Moschburg continues to craft bizarre scenes of conjectural beauty, striving to tell stories as unique as his past and venturing beyond the abstracts of the mind.
